DUBAI, UAE / RankWire.AI / July 16, 2026: Dubai-based airline flydubai is set to operate a second daily flight between Dubai and Bangkok beginning July 18, effectively doubling the route’s capacity less than three weeks after its initial launch. The airline launched daily services from Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport on July 1 and indicated that summer travel demand supported this rapid increase in frequency. The expanded flydubai Bangkok flights will be operated from Terminal 3 at Dubai International, offering two departures daily to Thailand’s capital, thereby providing more options for both leisure and business travelers moving between the United Arab Emirates and Southeast Asia.

flydubai Bangkok flights double to twice daily from July 18
flydubai strengthens air connectivity with Bangkok.

This additional flight, combined with flydubai’s increase of Krabi services from four flights per week to daily, will bring the airline’s Thailand schedule to as many as 21 flights each week. Bangkok becomes flydubai’s second Thai destination after Krabi and is part of a broader Southeast Asian route network that also includes Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. The route offers a direct connection to Don Mueang, one of Bangkok’s two major international airports, while also increasing seat availability during a period when airlines operating in Thailand are expanding their schedules from the Gulf region.

Sudhir Sreedharan, flydubai’s divisional senior vice president of commercial operations, commented that the second daily flight is a response to strong initial demand for the new Bangkok route. He noted that Don Mueang Airport provides convenient access to central Bangkok and that the extra frequency offers travelers greater flexibility during the busy summer travel season. flydubai has not disclosed specific booking or passenger load figures for the route. Nevertheless, the scheduled change increases the service from seven to 14 weekly flights, making flydubai’s Bangkok operations a more prominent part of its Thailand network from July 18.

The Bangkok flights are available through the codeshare agreement between flydubai and Emirates. Under this partnership, eligible passengers can book through a single itinerary, check baggage through to their final destination, and connect across a network of over 240 destinations. These flights depart from Emirates’ Terminal 3 at Dubai International, facilitating connections for travelers arriving from or going to markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The official schedule confirms Don Mueang International Airport as the endpoint for both daily services, ensuring direct connectivity between Dubai and Thailand’s capital.

Don Mueang Receives Extra Dubai Service

According to flydubai, return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bangkok start at AED 12,000, while Economy Class Lite return fares begin at AED 2,600. From Bangkok, return Business Class fares start at THB 91,000, with Economy Class Lite fares from THB 21,000. The airline operates this route with Boeing 737 aircraft and has highlighted cabin upgrades across its fleet, including lie-flat seats in some Business Class cabins, redesigned Economy seating, meal service, and inflight entertainment on most aircraft. Fares shown are subject to availability, booking conditions, and the travel dates chosen by passengers.

This increase in frequency occurs amid flydubai’s ongoing expansion of routes and capacity. The airline recently introduced flights to Benghazi in Libya and plans to launch services to Aleppo in Syria on July 20 and Pokhara in Nepal on September 23. flydubai reports its network now includes more than 140 destinations across 58 countries, operated by a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. Since commencing operations in June 2009, the airline has transported over 137 million passengers and has opened more than 100 routes that previously lacked direct links to Dubai or service by a UAE national carrier.

    Summer Travel Boosts Schedule Expansion

For Bangkok, this rapid expansion follows the initial daily service launched on July 1. The new schedule of twice-daily flights from July 18 establishes 14 weekly Dubai to Bangkok flights, alongside seven weekly flights to Krabi, resulting in a total of 21 weekly flights to Thailand for flydubai. This increased frequency is accessible via the airline’s website, mobile app, contact center, travel agencies, and partners. With the schedule now confirmed, travelers can compare departure options, fare classes, and onward connections through Dubai. The expansion also enhances the Emirates codeshare network’s capacity to Bangkok during the busy summer travel period through Don Mueang Airport.
