RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to restart its nonstop daily flights connecting Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route reestablishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and Kerala’s southern Indian state. Tickets are currently available through the airline’s sales outlets. The route will operate between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced this resumption on October 6.

The new daily service provides travelers with an additional direct connection between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is a key city situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times nor did it specify which aircraft will operate the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not yet published flight numbers for the October restart, but travelers can review schedules when booking.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, expressed his enthusiasm for the route’s return. He emphasized that the daily flights would offer a convenient link for customers traveling between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the strong travel demand between these locations. The announcement mainly focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, without providing passenger projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational changes were disclosed along with the announcement.
Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah Network with Daily Flights
The reinstated Kozhikode route will join several other international destinations served from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia offers nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline began operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, making it one of its key bases in the United Arab Emirates.
Initially launched on November 22, 2023, the Kozhikode route featured three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, though the airline has not confirmed whether these flight numbers will be reused or the exact operating times for the resumed service.
Tickets Available for October 16 Flight Resumption
Passengers can buy tickets via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies, as confirmed with the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode flights ceased or the reasons for the suspension. It also did not announce starting fares or aircraft details for the upcoming flights. The confirmed details include the route pair, daily operation, and the October 16 start date.
This route restart marks the return of a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after its initial launch. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule, directly linking the two airports without stops. Passengers seeking specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers are advised to consult current booking information prior to travel. No further changes to the Kozhikode route have been announced beyond the daily operation resumption.
