SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will commence nonstop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport on November 15, 2026. The airline will operate the route four times weekly, establishing an additional direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing passengers access to two airports serving Amman. The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available through the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency channels. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month before the first scheduled flight.
This new route from Sharjah expands the existing network of Air Arabia Group in Jordan, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi offers services connecting Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. The group also operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route provides travelers another departure point for reaching Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport in Amman. He emphasized that the route will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway into Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah schedule.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi introduced flights to Amman City Airport, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before launching this service, the airline already operated flights to Queen Alia International Airport. With the new route, the Abu Dhabi operation provided 10 weekly flights to Amman. The expansion now extends to Sharjah as well.
Four Flights Weekly Strengthen UAE-Jordan Flight Connectivity
Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will be identified by the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can reserve seats on the new Amman City Airport flights via the airline’s regular sales channels before operations commence in November.
The November launch broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan through multiple operating bases. Sharjah passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already enjoy services to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route will add four weekly flights from Sharjah to the airline’s wider Jordan network.
