SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop services between Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline plans to operate five weekly flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, with services scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route will enable travelers from Poland’s Pomeranian region to enjoy direct air access to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 will depart Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrive in Gdansk at 8 p.m. Meanwhile, flight G9 0629 will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., reaching Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. The flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will depart from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Gdansk will become the fourth Polish destination served by Air Arabia from Sharjah following the upcoming December expansion, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airline will also commence flights to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk launch. Operating four flights per week, the Katowice route will add another Polish city to the airline’s expanding network.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

The new route to Gdansk introduces a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline also maintains services to several major European hubs, including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City metropolitan area, including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland. The airport offers both domestic and international connections tailored to leisure and business travelers in the region.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali commented that Gdansk would strengthen the carrier’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct connection between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a hub for onward travel to destinations such as India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, the new flights will facilitate Gdansk passengers’ access to Air Arabia’s broader network via its Sharjah hub.

Scheduled launch in December to include five weekly flights

Air Arabia’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will operate the Gdansk route, with bookings now available. The airline’s schedule lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 as the return flight. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will use flights G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All timings are local, and the route will be nonstop in both directions.

The December 14 launch will extend Air Arabia’s direct flights to Poland shortly before the carrier’s Katowice service begins. With Krakow and Warsaw already part of its network, these two new routes will give Air Arabia four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will see five flights per week, while Katowice will operate four flights weekly, according to the announced schedule. The airline maintains that the start date and five-flight weekly timetable for Gdansk are confirmed for December 2026.
